Austin + Checker is a London-based art advisory founded by Pia Austin-Little and Polly Checker. We bring a collaborative, professional, and unbiased approach to art acquisition and investment, guiding collectors at all stages to build unique collections they love.

With over 20 years of combined experience at leading London galleries, we specialise in both primary and secondary markets, focusing on emerging and mid-career contemporary artists and modern art. We provide clients with creative, tailored advice, supported by rigorous research and extensive art market knowledge.

Pia holds a BA in Fine Art and has over a decade of experience as Director at Vigo Gallery, where she worked with emerging and established artists. In this role, she organized a diverse range of exhibitions spanning both gallery spaces and high-profile public and historical venues, worked on significant museum acquisitions and represented the gallery at major international art fairs.

After graduating from Bristol University with a BA in History of Art, Polly worked for many years with Offer Waterman, where she specialised in academic and art market research and exhibition programming, curating museum quality shows by Frank Auerbach, David Hockney, William Turnbull and Robert Rauschenberg. Most recently she developed and oversaw the international art fair programme for leading art book publisher TASCHEN, building on an already established network of Fairs, galleries and dealers.

At Austin + Checker, we work with a range of clients from new and established private collectors to corporate collections, architects and interior designers. With our wealth of knowledge and extensive network of industry professionals, we offer our clients a bespoke service and first hand access to the art world, through gallery and museum tours, studio visits and special events.
